EVALUATION OF POSTPARTUM FEMALE STERILIZATIONS: A RETROSPECTIVE STUDY AT TERTIARY CARE HOSPITAL IN JAMMU

Background: Female sterilization is a surgical procedure which permanently prevents pregnancy it works by blocking the fallopian tube and hence also known as tubal ligation. However, female can be performed at puerperal or postpartum period. Methods: In this retrospective study, we will analyze sterilizations evaluate factors that play significant role among women for option. Results: During study period, out of 33219 only 7701 opt sterilizations, observed educational level, sex new born child different parity previous procedural techniques significantly affects sterilization. Conclusion: These finding show voluntary depends on so many like education, parity, procedures. in order to curtail high maternal mortality graph, there must counseling cells help attain feasible health benefits consequently reduce mortality.
